Women's Golf Takes Eighth At Auburn Tiger-Derby Invitational

Junior Mikaela Parmlid shot 224 to lead the No. 5 USC women's golf team to eighth place at the Auburn Tiger-Derby Invitational held at the Auburn University Golf Club in Auburn, Ala., on Nov. 9-11 (Fri.-Sun.).

The Women of Troy shot 914, 29 strokes behind tourney champ Georgia (885). Auburn was second (890), followed by Tennessee (892), Arizona (899) and Duke (902).

Parmlid, who shot a second round 71, finished tied for 13th. Junior Becky Lucidi tied for 24th (228), sophomores Anna Lee and Anna Rawson tied for 34th (231) and junior Yon Yim was 63rd (250).

This tournament closes out the fall schedule for the Women of Troy, who will be in action again in February at the TRW Regional Challenge in Palos Verdes, Calif.
