Nov. 13, 2001
Corvallis, Ore. - The Oregon State University men's basketball game against the University of Northern Colorado Bears Nov. 17 will be broadcast live over radio stations KDBZ (620 AM) in Portland and KEJO (1240 AM) in Albany/Corvallis, it was announced Tuesday by Beaver Sports Properties General Manager Rick Thompson.
The 11:05 a.m. game was originally slated for 1:05 p.m., but was changed due to the rescheduling of Oregon State's Sept. 15 football game. Northern Colorado's travel plans do not allow for the game to be moved to an evening start.
'The Beaver Sports Network works with tremendous partners like KLOO and KEX, both Clear Channel stations on our football network,' Thompson said. 'Their understanding and cooperation will allow us to air both the basketball and football games.'
The football pregame show will air in its regularly scheduled time slots on the network.Beaver basketball will return to its usual 16-station network for the remainder of the season, beginning Thanksgiving night when Oregon State plays Texas in the first round of the Great Alaska Shootout.
