No. 1 Men's Swimming Hosts Double Distance Dual Meet with California

Nov. 15, 2001

STANFORD, Calif. - The top-ranked Stanford men's swimming team hosted a double distance dual meet this afternoon at the Avery Aquatic Center in Stanford, Calif. The meet was not scored, but the Cardinal did post first place times in six of the seven events.

Neither team set new meet records, but sophomore Markus Rogan and freshman Jayme Cramer posted the second fastest double distance meet times for the Cardinal in the 400 backstroke and 400 fly, respectively. Rogan earned a 3:43.49, barely missing the record of 3:43.38. Cramer's 3:53.89 was just shy of the 3:53.59 record.

Stanford returns to action at the Speedo Cup in Long Beach, Calif. on November 29 through December 1. The Cardinal's home season is on hiatus until January 4 when Penn State and Cal State Bakersfield come to The Farm.
