OSU Winter Baseball Camps Scheduled

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State has announced the schedule for its winter baseball camps. The three camps will be held Dec. 27-30 in McAlexander Fieldhouse on the OSU campus, and all camps are for players age 8-18.

The All-Skills Day Camp will be held Dec. 27-28 from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. It will feature instruction in hitting, fielding, throwing, baserunning, pitching and catching. Campers will be grouped according to age and skill levels. Campers should bring their own glove, cap, batting gloves, baseball shoes and sneakers, catchers should bring their own gear, if possible. Cost for this camp is $60 and check-in will be Dec. 27 at 8:30 a.m. at McAlexander Fieldhouse.

The Hitting Camp will be held Dec. 29 from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. It will cover swing mechanics, count hitting, situational hitting, bunting and more. Campers should bring their own bat, batting glove and cap. Cost is $75 and check-in will be Dec. 29 at 8:30 a.m. at McAlexander Fieldhouse.

The Pitching and Catching Camp will be held Dec. 30 from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. It will feature instruction in all aspects of pitching and catching, and is designed to give each camper the necessary techniques, drills and conditioning information to develop their skills when they leave camp. Campers should bring their own glove, cap, tennis shoes and baseball shoes, catchers should bring their own gear, if possible. Cost is $75 and check-in will be Dec. 30 at 8:30 a.m. at McAlexander Fieldhouse.
