Sophomore Jason Harless (133) defeated Ozzie Saxon of North Idaho College, 7-6, in the champioship match. Harless won by technical fall and fall before facing Saxon in the final match. Junior Brian Watson (141) also repeated what he had done in 2000, winning the indvidual title, only this season he picked up the win at 141 after winning at 133 last year. At 165, Oregon senior Eugene Harris and sophomore Luke Larwin (wrestling unattached) met in the finals, but did not wrestle. The two were named co-champions.
