Six Cougars Earn Pac-10 Volleyball All-Academic Honors

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- Six Washington State University student-athletes were named to the Pacific-10 Conference Volleyball All-Academic team, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced Monday.

Here are the six Cougars named to the Honorable Mention team: Zanda Bautre, sophomore, Riga, Latvia, Melissa Boyle, senior, Boise, Idaho, Adrian Hankoff, junior, South Lake Tahoe, Calif., Holly Harris, junior, Sandy, Utah, Kortney Jamtaas, junior, Orinda, Calif., and Chelsie Schafer, junior, Saskatoon, Sask., Canada.

Last year, Boyle was a second team selection while Harris, Jamtaas and Schafer were on the honorable mention team.

To be eligible for selection to the conference academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum of 3.0 overall grade point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
