Simonton To Play In Hula Bowl Game

CORVALLIS - Ken Simonton, Oregon State's career record holder in rushing and scoring, has accepted an invitation to play in the Hula Bowl Senior all-star game to be played on the island of Maui, Hawaii.

The same will be played on Saturday, February 2. Simonton will be playing for the West squad, coached by OSU Head Coach Dennis Erickson.

To date, this is the only all-star game that Simonton has accepted an invitation to participate.

Earlier, linebacker James Allen accepted an invitation to play in the Senior Bowl at Mobile, Alabama on January 26. Center Chris Gibson will participate in the East-West Shrine Game. The Shrine Game will be played at Pac Bell Park in San Francisco on January 12.
