Ducks Upset No. 11 Arizona, 105-75

EUGENE, Ore. - Luke Jackson scored 28 points, and Oregon tied aMcArthur Court record with 13 3-pointers in stunning No. 11 Arizona 105-75Saturday night.

The 30-point margin of victory was Oregon's largest over the Wildcats.

Jackson had 16 points during a first-half spurt that helped the Ducks turn a17-9 deficit into a 49-31 lead. Oregon made eight 3-pointers and went 9-of-10from the free throw line during the run.

For the game, the Ducks hit 13-of-22 (59 percent) from beyond the arc. Theymade 54 percent of their shots overall and were 24-of-27 from the line.

Fredrick Jones added 21 for the Ducks (8-3, 2-0 Pac-10), and Luke Ridnouradded 18.

Jason Gardner led Arizona with 19 points, while Channing Frye had 18 pointsand nine rebounds.

The Wildcats (6-3, 1-1) had a glimmer of hope when an 8-0 spurt closed thegap to 49-39 at halftime.

But James Davis hit two 3-pointers early the second half and Jacksoncontinued to make his shots.

The Wildcats extended their defense to better guard the outside shot, butthe Ducks then went inside to Brian Helquist and 7-foot-2 Chris Christoffersen.

Helquist's three-point play with 11:43 left pushed the lead back to 16 andseemed to take the steam out Arizona, as the lead soon ballooned to 20, then30.

Jackson's last basket put the Ducks over the century mark, the first timethey've scored more than 100 points in consecutive Pac-10 games.

The Ducks won their conference opener Thursday, 103-90 over Arizona State.
