2002 Pac-10 Baseball Coaches Preseason Poll

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The Pac-10 coaches have selected STANFORD as the preseason favorite to win the Conference. The Cardinal garnered seven first-place votes. Stanford made its third-straight appearance in the College World Series last season, and 13th all-time. The Cardinal swept through its bracket with three victories, but fell to Miami, 12-1 in the National Championship game for the second consecutive year.
USC received one first-place vote. The Trojans were chosen last season to win the Conference, with ARIZONA STATE second. USC won the Conference title in 2001, its first since the 1996 season.
Points are awarded in descending order with 8 points for first place, 7 points for second place, and so on. Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own team.
