No. 6 Cal Women's Swimming and Diving Defeats No. 10 USC, 165-135

LOS ANGELES, CA - The No. 6 ranked California women's swim team (6-1) defeated No. 10 USC, 165-135, Friday at McDonald's Swim Stadium on the USC campus. The Bears won 11 of the 16 events.

Sophomore Natalie Coughlin took firsts in the 100 fly (54.17), 200 fly (1:54.55) and the 200 IM (1:57.64), while sophomore Danielle Becks won the 50 free (23.53), 100 free (50.69) and the 200 free (1:50.35). Coughlin is now 23-0 in Pac-10 dual meet races.

Other individual winners for Cal were junior Staciana Stitts in the 100 breast (1:01.72) and the 200 breast (2:17.40). Senior Alice Henriques captured the 100 back (55.95) and junior Ashley Whitney was the winner of the 500 free (4:51.22). The Bears also won the 200 medley relay (1:42.73 Coughlin, Stitts, sophomore Kyoko Yokouchi, junior Michelle Harper).
