No. 25 Trojans Fall In Heartbreaker To No. 15 UCLA, 67-65

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Billy Knight's 3-pointer as time expired gave No. 15 UCLAa 67-65 victory over No. 25 Southern California on Wednesday night and theBruins avoided their first sweep by the Trojans since the 1991-92 season.
Brandon Granville's two free throws with 33 seconds left put USC ahead 65-64as the Trojans capped a comeback from a 61-50 deficit with 5:53 remaining.
Following a timeout, the Bruins ran down the clock, with Cedric Bozemanmissing a shot and Dan Gadzuric grabbing the offensive rebound, but missing theputback. Gadzuric again got the rebound then passed to Knight for the winningshot.
Jason Kapono scored 26 points for UCLA (16-6, 8-4 Pac-10), while Knight had14, Gadzuirc 11 and Matt Barnes 10.
UCLA lost to the Trojans 81-77 on Jan. 10.
Sam Clancy had 24 points and 14 rebounds for USC (16-6, 8-4), his eighthstraight double-double. The streak is the longest by a Trojan since Ron Rileyachieved the feat to start the 1971-72 season.
UCLA trailed 39-33 at halftime, but quickly pulled into a 40-40 tie asKapono had five points during a 7-1 run to open the second half. DavidBluthenthal's tip-in put Southern California ahead 42-40 with 16:46 left, butthe Trojans would not score again for more than four minutes as the Bruins tooka 47-42 lead.
Kapono had all eight points in an 8-2 run which put the Bruins ahead 61-50.Southern California cut the lead to 61-56 1:34 later on baskets by Rory O'Neil,Granville and Clancy. Bluthenthal's 3-pointer capped 7-2 run which pulled theTrojans within 64-63 with 1:38 remaining.
Clancy scored the Trojans' first 10 points and 12 of their first 14.
Little-used senior guard Gennaro Busterna, a junior college transfer, addeda career-high 12 points in 21 minutes for USC, which has lost its last ninegames at Pauley Pavilion. Granville added 11 points.
