Men's Golf In 15th After First Round Of Taylor Made Waikoloa Intercollegiate

Waikoloa, Haw. - The No. 7 USC men's golf team shot 294 and are in seventh place after one round of the Taylor Made Waikoloa Intercollegiate held at Waikoloa Kings' Course in Waikoloa, Haw., on Wed.-Fri.

USC is 13 strokes behind leader Georgia Tech (281). Stanford is second (285), followed by Mississippi (286) and Pepperdine (287).

Junior David Oh and sophomore Roderick Staunton each shot an even-par 72 to lead USC. Both are tied for 23rd. Senior Kevin Stadler and freshman Ben Hayes each shot 75 and are tied for 65th, while junior Chris Botsford shot 76 and is tied for 85th.

Toy Matteson of Georgia Techa and Aaron Byers of Oregon are in first place with a score of 67.

Round two takes place on Thursday. The tournament concludes with round three on Friday.
