Men's Golf Still In 2nd Place At Taylor Made/Waikoloa Intercollegiate

Waikoloa, Hawai'i - The Stanford men's golf team is in second place heading into the final round of the 12th Annual Taylor Made/Waikoloa Intercollegiate at the Waikoloa Resort Kings' Golf Course. Georgia Tech holds the top spot with a team total of 566, followed by the Cardinal (573), Nevada (757), Mississippi (577) and Kansas (577).

Senior Philip Rowe (Cornwall, UK) fired the lowest round of the day, a five-under 67, to stand atop the individual leaderboard. Rowe has an eight-under 136 thus far in the tournament after shooting a 69 in the first round.

Freshman Kevin Blue (Toronto, Ont.) is tied for 11th-place with a two-round total of 143 (69-74). Blake Mastalir (Englewood, CO) and Jim Seki (Honolulu, HI) are tied at 36th and 56th, respectively. Mastalir has a total of 146 (72-74), while Seki checks in with 148 (75-73). Pat Phillips (Athens, GA) followed up his first round score with a 75 today for a two-day total of 150 (75-75) to tie for 74th.

Rowe has a one-stroke led over Georgia Tech's Troy Matteson (137), who stands in second-place. Fresno State's Nick Watney and Jonathan Echols are tied for third with a total of 140.

The final round will be played tomorrow at the par-72 Waikoloa Resort Kings' Golf Course.
