Soccer Player Amy LePeilbet Earns First International Cap

TEMPE, Ariz. - Playing for the U-21 U.S. National Team, Arizona State University women's soccer player Amy LePeilbet earned her first international cap (a term used to denote national team appearances) against the Women's Mexican National Team.
From January 25-29, LePeilbet trained and played with the U-21 National Team at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California where they played against the U-19 U.S. National Team. From January 30 to February 3, LePeilbet and the rest of the U-21 National Team traveled to Mexico, playing two games against the full Mexican National Team. The U-21 Team recorded a 1-1 record during the two game competition.
LePeilbet, a junior defender from Crystal Lake, Illinois, started and played the entire second game in Juarez, Mexico, helping the team to a 1-0 win over the Mexican National Team, picking up her first cap.
This past season at Arizona State, LePeilbet earned first-team All-Pac-10 honors on the field as well as in the classroom.
