No. 4 Cal Women's Swimming and Diving Falls to No. 1 Stanford, 159.5-140.5

STANFORD, CA - The No. 4 ranked California women's swim team (7-2, 5-1) lost its first Pac-10 dual meet of the year, falling to No. 1 ranked Stanford (8-0, 5-0), 159.5-140.5, Saturday at the Avery Aquatic Center on the Stanford campus. The Bears won five of the meet's events, including sophomore Natalie Coughlin winning three events and continuing her undefeated streak (29-0) in Pac-10 dual meet races.

Coughlin won the 200 free (1:46.99), 100 free (48.89) and the 100 fly (52.35). Senior Alice Henriques captured the 100 back (time not available) and Cal won the meet's final event, the 400 free relay (3:25.68, junior Ashley Whitney, Coughlin, junior Michelle Harper, sophomore Danielle Becks).
