South Florida Edges Out Louisville

Niki Trowell singled in a run in the top of the eighth to give SouthFlorida a 3-2 victory over Louisville in second-day action of the PepsiArizona Softball Classic.
The Bulls improved to 5-8-1 overall and 2-1 in tournament play. TheCardinals dropped to 1-6 and 1-2.
Stephanie Roberts singled in the first for the Bulls and later scored on asingle by Holly Groves to give USF the first lead.
Sara Bauscher's two-out solo home run for Louisville tied the game in thethird. Bauscher's single up the middle scored another run in the fifth,driving in Kristi Rozelle, who had singled to open the inning.
USF tied the game in the top of the seventh after Rachel Williams was hitby a pitch, moved to third on two ground ball outs and scored on a singleby Ginny Georgantas.
