Pac-10 Women's Basketball Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.-- OREGON sophomore forward Cathrine Kraayeveld has been named the Pac-10 Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 11-17, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Kraayeveld, from Kirkland, Wash., scored 16 points, grabbed eight rebounds and recorded three assists and one blocked shot in Oregon's 84-83 overtime win at Oregon State on Feb. 16. Kraayeveld shot 8-of-13 from the floor (.615) and contested Felicia Ragland's potential game-winner in regulation.
Kraayeveld ranks first on the squad in rebounding (7.8 rpg) and field goal percentage (.514) and third in scoring at 9.2 ppg. In Pac-10 games, she is averaging 10.9 points and 9.6 rebounds (3rd) per game.
With the win over rival Oregon State, the Ducks improved to 9-7 in the Pac-10 (14-11 overall) and trail fourth-place USC by one game heading into the final weekend of regular-season play.
The Player of the Week honor is the first of Kraayeveld's career and the 27th all-time selection for Oregon.
