Women's Tennis Tops Nevada

EUGENE, Ore. - The No. 59-ranked University of Oregon women's tennis squad continued their tough play on Thursday, defeating the University of Nevada Wolf Pack 5-2, at the Student Tennis Center.

In singles, Oregon got big wins from the bottom of their lineup to help put away the Wolf Pack. At No. 4, Oregon sophomore Courtney Nagle put away Nevada's Ana Bihler, 6-2, 6-1.

In doubles, The Ducks took two of the three matches to earn the point. Oregon's tandem of freshman Ester Bak and senior Janice Nyland won a battle at No. 2, topping Nevada's team of Vania Apodaca and Kodee Domingo, 9-8 (9-7).

The win takes Oregon's record to 7-3 in dual competition. Up next the Ducks travel to Seattle, Washington to take on the No. 12-ranked Washington Huskies, on Saturday, February 23.
