Men's Golf Moves Up to Ninth Place at John Burns Intercollegiate

WAHIAWA, Hawaii - The University of Arizona men's golf team posted an even par total of 288 Thursday and moved up five places after two rounds of the John Burns Intercollegiate.
Arizona 288 team total Thursday was its fourth round at par or better this season. The effort moved the Wildcats up into a tie for ninth place in the 20-team field. San Diego State continues to lead the tournament with a two-round total of 569 (-7). Auburn (576/E) and UNLV (579/+3) round out the top three places.
Individually, Arizona was led by sophomore Chris Nallen and junior Reid Hatley, who each carded two-under-par 70s to stand tied for 17th place at 145 (+1). After posting second round 74s (+2), freshman Kipp Riehle (147)and junior Ricky Barnes (150) are tied for 34th and 49th places, respectively. Junior Brian Woolf is tied for 86th place with a two-round total of 157 (+13)
The 54-hole tournament concludes Wednesday at the Leleihua Golf Course, a par 72, 6,917-yard facility.
