Men's Tennis Cruises to Victory over Loyola Marymount, 6-1

EUGENE, Ore. - The 72nd ranked men's tennis squad set the tone early, and continued their dominant play throughout to record a 6-1 dual match victory over the Loyola Marymount Lions Sunday afternoon at the Student Tennis Center.
In doubles play, the Ducks sweeped all three matches to gain the advantage heading into singles play. The duck duo of freshman Manuel Kost and sophomore Martin Pawlowski led the way, dominatingthe Loyola Marymount tandem of Jaakko Asuja and Anthony Eurard 8-2.
In singles competition, the Ducks were victorious in five of six matches. In the No. 6 singles spot, sophomore Greg Dubordieu highlighted the Ducks success, making quick work of the Lions' Mike Cameron, winning in straight sets 6-1, 6-0. In the only match to extend to three sets, Anthony Eurard sneakd by Pawlowski to grab the only Loyola Marymount victory, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.
The victory improved the Duck's dual record to 6-2. The Ducks compete next at New Mexio State on Friday, March 1, with action starting at 1:30 p.m.
