Men's Diving Completes Day One At Pac-10 Diving Championships

Tucson, Ariz. - The 2002 Pacific-10 Diving Championships are being held at the Hillenbrand Aquatic Center on the University of Arizona campus. This afternoon the men competed on the three meter springboard while the women were on the one meter.

For the Cardinal, freshman Adam Peterson (448.05) placed eighth in the final of the three-meter event. Teammate Brian Ferris was 11th in the prelims.

Arizona's Omar Ojeda was crowned Pac-10 Champion in the event with a score of 611.05.

The competition will resume tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. with the preliminaries of the men's one meter followed by the preliminaries of the women's three meter. The third and final day of competition will be Saturday when the preliminaries of the platform start at 10:00 a.m.
