Women's Golf Tied for Eighth at UCLA

MENIFEE, Calif., - The University of Oregon women's golf team has positioned itself for its best finish of the season after shooting rounds of 307-310 Monday. The Ducks stand tied for eight with Nevada-Las Vegas after two rounds of the Pioneer Electronic Bruin Classic, played at the 6,116-yard, par 72 Menifee Lakes Country Club.

Senior Kathy Cho and freshman Jess Carlyon were tied for 18th at 151 to lead the Ducks. Cho had rounds of 75-76, while Carlyon opened with a career-low 73, followed by a 78 in the afternoon.

Oregon is 25 strokes behind tournament leader Pepperdine, which shot a 592.

The final round will be completed Tuesday morning.
