Annie Campbell Named Pacific-10 Gymnast Of The Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Oregon State junior Annie Campbell has been named the Pacific-10 Gymnast of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Campbell posted a season-high 39.575 all-around score in the Shanico Inn-vitational against No. 5 Michigan, No. 22 Michigan State and Seattle Pacific last week. The Beavers ended up placing second overall with a 196.675, OSU's best score of the season.
Campbell won floor after tying her career-high with a 9.975, and she tied for first on beam with a 9.925 to equal her career-high on that event as well. Campbell rounded out the competition with a 9.85 on vault and a 9.825 on bars.
With the 39.575 score, she joins seven-time All-American Chari Knight as the only other Beaver to score higher than 39.500 twice in her career. Campbell had a career-high 39.625 in a competition in 2001.
Campbell, who ranks 20th in the nation on beam, has a total of nine event titles this season: four on floor, two on beam, two in the all-around and one on vault. She has scored a 9.90 or better nine times on various events this year.
