UW-WSU Baseball Series May Be Moved To Lewiston

March 22, 2002

SEATTLE - The Washington baseball team's two-game series scheduled Monday and Tuesday at Washington State may be moved to Lewiston, Idaho, in hopes of better weather conditions than in Pullman. A final decision will be made on Sunday depending on the weather.

The Huskies and Cougars might play at Harris Field on the campus of Lewis-Clark State College, where the temperatures tend to be warmer than at the Washington State campus. Games for Monday and Tuesday, March 24 and 25, are both set to start at 2:00 p.m. regardless of the location. The games will not count in the conference standings as the three-game UW-WSU league series will take place at Husky Ballpark in April.

After the two games in Pullman, the Huskies continue a spring break road trip with a three-game series at Arizona State March 28-30 in the first conference series of the season.
