Felicia Ragland Invited To 14th Annual Slam Dunk And Three-Point Championships

CORVALLIS, Ore. - CORVALLIS, OR- Oregon State University guard Felicia Ragland has been invited to the 14th Annual Slam Dunk and Three-Point Championships as sponsored by Intersport in conjunction with ESPN.

The competition will take place on the campus of Georgia State University at the GSU Sports Arena on Thursday, March 28 at 4 p.m. PST. The sharpshooters and slammers will be showcased in the two-hour ESPN telecast that will be seen on Saturday, March 30 at 11 a.m. PST.

Ragland reigns as the most prolific 3-point shooter in Oregon State history with 178 treys in her career. Her 69 3-pointers during the 2001-02 season broke her own OSU single-season mark of 62, set during the 2000-01 campaign.

The 5-9 guard holds the Oregon State record for 3-pointers in a single game, with seven, a feat she accomplished twice this year. Ragland ranks in a tie for 10th place in the Pacific-10 Conference for career 3-pointers (178).

Intersport's production of the event, now in its second decade, will include the men's 3-point contest, the women's 3-point shootout, the slam-dunk contest, and a classic 'Battle of the Sexes', a concluding 3-point championship matching the men's and women's winners from earlier in the evening.
