Greig Leads Men's Golf At Duck Invitational

Sophomore Daren Greig fired a 148 on Monday in the first two rounds of the Oregon Duck Invitational at the par-72, 6,738-yard Shadow Hills Country Club.
Greig, who led the Beavers in scoring coming into the tournament with a 73.3 average, is in a five-way tie for 42nd after rounds of 75 and 73.
OSU shot 304 in each round, placing them in 14th with a score of 608 with 18 holes to play Tuesday morning.
Senior Todd Deacon carded a pair of 76s en route to a 152 and a tie for 57th, while his younger brother Sean, a sophomore, totaled 153 and is among a pack of five players tied for 71st. Sean is coming off a top-15 finish at the Cleveland Golf Classic March 4-5.
Tournament host Oregon leads the field of 16 after rounds of 286 and 281 for a total of 9-under 567. Washington State, ranked 25th in the nation and one of three ranked teams at the tournament, is second at 570, leading a pack of four teams within two shots of the Cougars.
UCLA's John Poucher and Scott Gordon of UC-Davis share the lead at 138, just two strokes in front of Jon Reehoorn of Washington State and Cullen Brasfield of Nevada.
