Men's Tennis Falls to Santa Clara 6-1

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The No. 52-ranked University of Oregon men's tennis team's six-game winning streak ended Monday afternoon as the Ducks lost 6-1 to No. 73-ranked Santa Clara.
Oregon falls to 11-3 on the season while Santa Clara improved to 10-4.
'They were better at the details than we were today,' Oregon coach Chris Russell said. 'They made fewer mistakes. It's a match that hopefully will help us get better.'
The Ducks hung tough, but lost three singles matches in three sets at Nos. 2, 4 and 5. Sophomore Greg Dubourdieu picked up Oregon's point with a 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles over Santa Clara's Taylor Bedilion. The Ducks didn't win the doubles point, but claimed an 8-4 win from the No. 3 tandem of Manuel Kost and Chris King.
Oregon will play its next three matches in California, first taking on Pacific at 1 p.m. The Ducks then will play at Stanford on Friday and California on Saturday.
