Bruins Tied for Fourth after Two Rounds in Oregon

The UCLA men's golf team is tied for fourth place after 36 holes at the Oregon Duck Invitational, hosted by the University of Oregon at Shadow Hills CC.
The Bruins posted rounds of 287 and 285 for a total of 572, four-under par, tied with UC Davis and the University of Nevada. Host Oregon leads the field at 567, 11-under par, followed by Washington State at 570 and Stanford at 571.
San Diego State is seventh at 575, followed by Arizona at 585 and Wyoming at 592.
UCLA freshman John Poucher fired a pair of 69s and is tied for first place at six-under par 138 with Scott Gordon of UC Davis. Sophomore John Merrick is tied for 15th at 143, one-under par, followed by sophomore Steve Conway who is tied for 23rd at 145. Freshman Breene Murphy is tied for 27th at 146 and senior Parker McLachlin is tied for 71st at 153.
After Gordon and Poucher, Washington State's Jon Reehorn and Nevada's Cullen Brasfield are tied for third place at 139, five-under par. Four other players are within three shots of the leaders.
