Following a two-week break for finals and Spring Break, the No. 5 UCLA women's tennis team returns to action this week, traveling to Arizona for matches with Arizona and No. 10 Arizona State. On Friday, the Bruins will face Arizona in Tucson beginning at 1:30 p.m. UCLA defeated the Wildcats, 6-1 back on Feb. 23 at the LATC. On Saturday, UCLA will take on 10th-ranked Arizona State in Tempe beginning at Noon. The Bruins upset the then-No. 7 Sun Devils, 4-3 back on Feb. 22 in Los Angeles.
Bruins Crack Top-5 . . .
UCLA checked in at No. 5 in the latest Omni Hotels Collegiate Tennis Rankings released Wednesday, marking the Bruins' highest ranking this season. The Bruins, who are tied with Stanford in the No. 5 spot, jumped three spots from No. 8 after upsetting No. 4 Duke back on Mar. 12. UCLA started the season ranked No. 16 nationally and has been moving up ever since.

Individually Speaking . . .
UCLA is the only school in the country with two players currently listed in the top-5 of the Omni Hotels Singles Rankings. When the latest individual rankings were released on Mar. 20, Megan Bradley was No. 3 in the nation and Sara Walker checked in at No. 5. Walker and Bradley are UCLA's only 20-match winners this season, as Walker is 24-6 overall and Bradley is 22-3. In addition, Petya Marinova is ranked No. 61 in the nation. UCLA is also the only school in the country to have two doubles teams in the top-6 nationally. The Bruins' top doubles team of Petya Marinova and Walker are ranked No. 5 in the country, while Bradley and Lauren Fisher are close behind at No. 6.
Bradley Continues to Impress . . .
UCLA's highest ranked singles players at No. 3 in the nation, freshman Megan Bradley's impact at UCLA has been immediate to say the least. Not only has she played No. 1 singles for UCLA in 11 of 12 dual matches this season, she has posted an impressive 10-1 mark. She won her first collegiate tournament back in September, taking the singles title at the adidas Invitational. Bradley currently owns a 22-3 overall record. She has been equally impressive in doubles, posting a 20-3 mark with partner Lauren Fisher. The duo is ranked No. 6 nationally. Prior to arriving at UCLA, she was a member of Team USA and was the No. 1 ranked player in the USTA Girls' 18s singles rankings.
