Four UCLA Men Earn Academic All-MPSF Indoor T & F Honors.

Led by UCLA senior distance runner Bryan Green, the Bruin men's track and field team placedfour student-athletes on the Academic All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) indoor track andfield team.
Green leads the group with a 3.455 cumulative grade point average. Joining him are juniorthrower Jack Clamon (3.050), junior pole vaulter Jared Drake (3.168) and sophomore sprinter DenyeVersher (3.392).
At the 2002 MPSF Indoor meet, held Feb. 22-23 at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ,the Bruins won the men's team title with 132 points, ahead of second-place Washington State (117). UCLAhead coach Art Venegas was named the 2002 MPSF Men's Coach of the Year.
In the meet, Versher placed second (46.85) in the 400m, Green was second (8:46.37) in the3000m, Drake was eighth (16-8) in the pole vault and Clamon was 12th (54-1.25) in the shot put.
To qualify, a student-athlete must - have a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average, be at least asophomore academically, have completed one full academic year at the member institution prior to theseason for which the award is being received and have competed in fifty percent or more of the institution's competition in the student-athlete's respective sport (indoor track and field).
