TUCSON, Ariz. - The No. 34 Arizona women's tennis fellto No. 8 UCLA on Friday, 5-2.

UA freshman Maja Mlakar, ranked No. 20, upset UCLA'sNo. 3 ranked Megan Bradley, 7-5, 6-4. Freshman DianneHollands, ranked No. 92, earned the other singlesvictory for the Cats when she topped UCLA's No. 61Petya Marinova in three sets, 6-4, 5-7, 6-3.

Wildcat sophomore Debbie Larocque, ranked No. 94,dropped her match to UCLA's No. 5 Sara Walker, 6-4,6-3.

In doubles play, the Cats came close to pulling anupset when UA's No. 13 ranked duo of Mlakar andLarocque lost a close match with UCLA's No. 5 pair ofWalker and Marinova, 8-6.

The Cats continue action tomorrow when they face offagainst No. 16 USC at noon MST.
