Cal Turns in Solid Performances On Second Day of Stanford Invitational

STANFORD, Calif. - The California men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up the second day of the Stanford Invitational at Cobb Track and Angell Field with more solid performances.
Cal senior Jennifer Joyce saw her string of three-straight first-place finishes in the hammer come to an end with her second-place finish. However, her mark of 204-4 was her fourth-straight NCAA automatic qualifying mark this year.
Junior April Holliverse recorded her best time in two years in the 100mH, finishing seventh in the final in 13.99w.
The Bears return to action April 6 when they travel to Davis to compete against UC Davis, Boise State and Utah State.
