Ducks Struggle to 14th Place Finish at Ping/ASU Invitational

TEMPE, Ariz. - Oregon edged New Mexico State to place 14th at the Ping/ASU Invitational, played at the 6,122-yard par 72 Karsten Golf Course. The Ducks' final round 297 carried them four strokes over the Aggies.

Senior Kathy Cho tied for 31st and proved Oregon's top finisher by carding a 76-74-75-225. Sophomore Lacy Erickson posted a 73, Oregon's lowest score of the weekend, in the final round and finished tied for 76th.

No. 3 Tulsa claimed the team title after shooting a final round low 286. Tulsa topped second place Arizona State by six strokes.

Up next, the Ducks will compete at the Pac-10 Championships, April 22-24 at the Walla Walla Country Club in Walla Walla, Wash.
