Volleyball Wins San Diego Spring Tournament

The Washington State women's volleyball team won the University of San Diego spring tournament last Saturday, April 6.
WSU, led by the 11 kills of junior Adrian Hankoff, defeated USD 30-28, 30-21. Hankoff repeated with 11 kills in the WSU 26-30, 30-24 21-18 (time allowed us to play to 21) win over Long Beach State, the 2001 national runner-up. Zanda Bautre had 10 kills and hit .333 while Hankoff had a .312 hitting percentage.
The Cougars defeated Pepperdine 26-30, 30-28, 15-12 with Bautre leading the way with 13 kills and an outstanding .550 hitting percentage.
WSU ended the day with a win over Loyola Marymount 29-31, 30-26 (winner determined on points because LMU couldn't play a 3rd game). Bautre led the Cougs with 11 kills and .478 hitting percentage.
Washington State competes in the Nike Tournament this weekend in Portland, Ore.
