INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - -

The Oregon State women's crew moved up one spot to 18th in the April 10th Collegaite Rowing Coaches Association poll, released Wednesday.

The Beavers, slated 19th on the preseason list, advanced courtesy of a strong showing in Sunday's Petite Final at the San Diego Crew Classic. The varsity eight captured second and beat out five strong crews in the process, including then-No. 14 Texas.

Top-ranked Washington maintained its position atop the poll, followed by Brown and Ohio State, who held on to the second and third spots.
