Fusaro, Brennan To Compete At U.S. World Cup Diving Trials

USC senior diver Kellie Brennan and sophomore diver Nicci Fusaro will be among the competitors at the 2002 U.S. World Cup Trials on Saturday and Sunday (April 20-21) at the Robert F. Busbey Natatorium on the campus of Cleveland State.
The trials will feature the 3-meter springboard and the 10-meter platform. The top two male and female athletes in each event will earn spots on the World Cup Team. First and second place finishers on 3-meter will also dive 1-meter at the World Cup.
The 13th FINA Diving World Cup, one of the biggest meets on the diving circuit, will take place June 25-29 in Sevilla, Spain.
Additionally, the top four divers in each event will compete at the FINA/USA Diving Grand Prix May 9-12 in Coral Springs, Fla.
Fusaro was a three-time All-American at the 2002 NCAA Championships and won a pair of titles at the 2002 Pac-10 Championships. Brennan was an All-American in 2000 and 2001 and was the 2001 Pac-10 Women's Diver of the Year.
Brennan was third in the 3-meter at the 2001 U.S. Indoor Diving Championships. Fusaro was third in the platform and fifth in the 3-meter at the same meet. She was also an alternate for the U.S. team at the World Championships.
