Cal Throwers Lead the Way at Woody Wilson Invitational

DAVIS, Calif. - The California men's and women's track and field teams sent a small contingent of athletes to the non-scored Woody Wilson Invitational which concluded late Saturday night at Woody Wilson Track.
On the women's side, Cal redshirt freshman Tamrya d'Artenay had a strong day, finishing second in the shot put (43-9.5) and third in the discus (PR: 145-8). Also in the discus, freshman Jennifer Ladouceur threw a PR of 145-0 to place fourth. Cal?s Lina Biber-Ferro also ran a career-best time in the 800m (2:16.27) to grab fifth.
Sophomore Tony Miranda was the highest finisher for the Cal men, placing second in the discus with a season-best mark of 165-5.
