Dantzscher Named UCLABruins.com Student-Athlete Of The Week

Sophomore Jamie Dantzscher (San Dimas, CA/San Dimas HS) of the UCLA Gymnastics Team was selected as the UCLABruins.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Apr. 15-21.
Dantzscher became the first UCLA gymnast and the first gymnast from any school in seven years to win three individual titles at the NCAA Championships. The former U.S. Olympian captured the all-around (39.675), vault (9.9563) and floor (9.95) titles and led UCLA to a third-place finish after posting a 39.625 all-around score during the team finals. She also tied for fifth on bars and was 13th on beam. Dantzscher was one of just two athletes to earn the maximum five All-America honors this season and now has eight in her short career.
This is Dantzscher's fifth UCLABruins.com Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and the sixth of her career.
