UCLA Men's T & Field Signings

UCLA men's head track & field coach Art Venegas has announced fourNational Letter of Intent signings for athletes who will be freshmen forthe Bruin men next season in track and field.

The athletes are:

Chauncee Smith, San Diego, University City HS - opened the currentprep outdoor season running a 10.83 (100m), one of the top sprint marks inthe State.

Craig Everhart, Tacoma, WA, Davis HS - As a junior in 2001, Everhartran a 47.09 (400m), the No. 5 11th grade mark in the U. S.

Michael Landers, Merced, Golden Valley HS In 2002 as a senior,Landers' early pole vault marks are 15-9i and 15-6 outdoors. As a juniorlast season, he was the CA State HS champion and his 16-3 was the No. 211th grade mark in the U. S.

Brian Ruziecki, Huntington Beach, CA HS - Has opened the currentprep outdoor season with marks of 61-0 (shot put) and 184-0 (discus). As ajunior in 2001, Ruziecki's top marks were 60-7 and 188-2, No. 20 on the U.S. prep chart.
