USC Super Fan's Brother Oliver Pellerin, Who Saw 637 Consecutive Trojan Football Games, Dies
May 14, 2002
LOS ANGELES - Oliver Pellerin, who viewed 637 consecutive USC football games in person to approach the feat of his late brother, USC 'Super Fan' Giles Pellerin, died on Sunday (May 12) of natural causes in Palm Springs, Calif. He was 93.
Oliver hadn't missed a USC game, home or away, from 1945 until he couldn't make the 2001 Las Vegas Bowl because of injuries he suffered in a fall, ending his streak at 637 in a row.
His older brother, Giles, had attended 797 consecutive Trojan games from 1926 before he passed away at age 91 at the 1998 USC-UCLA game. The third Pellerin brother, Max, who died in 2001 at age 90, had a 300-plus string interrupted when he was sent overseas to work.
Oliver will be cremated and there are no services planned.
