Women's Golf Moves Into A Tie For 17th After Second Round Of NCAA Championships

Auburn, Wash. - The No. 15 USC women's golf team shot 294 on Wednesday to jump four spots into a tie for 17th after two rounds of the 2002 NCAA Women's Golf Championships at Washingtong National Golf Club.

The Women of Troy have a two-day total of 601, 20 strokes behind overall leader Arizona (581).

Junior Mikaela Parmlid had a fine day, shooting 70 to rest in a tie for eighth with a total of 143. She is six strokes back of individual leaders Virada Nirapathpongporn of Duke and Summer Sirmons of Georgia (137).

Also for USC, junior Becky Lucidi is tied for 29th (148), junior Yon Yim is tied for 81st (154) and sophomore Anna Rawson is tied for 103rd (156).

Round three gets underway at 8 a.m. on Thursday.
