June 7, 2002
BERKELEY, CA - Cal volleyball coach Rich Feller has been invited to help coach the USA Volleyball National A2 Program at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Feller, who will entering his fourth season coaching the Golden Bears this fall, will be working with Utah assistant coach Matt McShane from June 10-15. Each summer, USA volleyball brings in top collegiate players with national team potential to train with the USA National Team. Prior to arriving at Cal, Feller was an assistant coach for the USA National Team from 1997-98, and in the summer of 1998 trained the National A2 Program for six weeks.
'Matt (McShane) asked me if I would come out and help him for a week of training,' said Feller. 'I felt this was a great opportunity to keep up with the progress of our national team and give some exposure to the Cal program. The players who are there in training are All-Americans from several colleges, including players from the Pac-10 (Emily Adams, Kate Olsovsky and April Ross from USC).'
