Seven Athletes Named To Pac-10 All-Academic Team For Softball

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -

Seven Cardinal student-athletes were named to the 2002 Pac-10 All-Academic Team for softball, as announced by Commissioner Tom Hansen. Highlighting Stanford's selections were seniors Sarah Beeson (Tucson, Ariz.), Jessica Draemel (Omaha, Neb.) and Robin Walker (La Palma, Calif.)- all named to the First Team.

Juniors Cassi Brangham (Clovis, Calif.), Kira Ching (San Lorenzo, Calif.), Maureen LeCocq (Woodland Hills, Calif.) and Tori Nyberg (Belmont, Calif.) were tabbed as Second Team selections.

To be eligible for selection to the academic teams, a student-athlete must have aminimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant substitute. Following are the 2002 All-Academic teams for softball:
