Joyce Finishes Second in Hammer at Canadian National Championships

BERKELEY - Recent Cal graduate Jennifer Joyce placed second in the hammer throw at the Canadian National Track and Field Championships over the weekend at Foote Field in Edmonton.

Joyce earned her second-place showing on her final throw of the day - a heave of 205-3.

Michelle Fournier won the event on her final throw of the competition - a mark of 210-0. Former Canadian champion Caroline Wittrin placed third with a distance of 196-3.

Joyce, a two-time All-American at Cal in the hammer, owns the Bears and Canadian national record in the event of 214-0 (65.23m).
