Perkins Named to Pacific-10 All-Academic First Team

PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State tennis senior Erica Perkins (Seattle) was selected to the 2001-02 Pacific-10 All-Academic team, the Conference announced Thursday.

Perkins received the honor for the third time having been named first team in 1999 and 2001. No other Cougar tennis player in history has been named to the first team more than once. In addition, Perkins is the only WSU tennis player to earn Pac-10 academic honors in three seasons. She is a 4.00 graduate student in education administration after graduating with a degree in history and a 3.92 undergraduate GPA.

In addition to Perkins, sophomores Lorena Arias (Mexico City, Mexico) and Zorana Roganovic (Novi Sad, Yugoslavia) were named Pac-10 All-Academic Honorable Mention. Arias has a 3.51 GPA while Roganovic owns a 3.74 GPA. Both are undecided about their majors.
