Single-Game Football Tickets On Sale Tuesday
July 7, 2002
EUGENE - Remaining single-game tickets for six of the University of Oregon's eight 2002 home football games will be made available to the general public for the first time beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday (July 9).
Tickets will remain on sale at the Athletic Ticket Office in the Len Casanova Center until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, however Director of Ticket Sales Steve Bianco said the wait to purchase tickets may be shorter for those who choose to do so by phone (1-800-WEBFOOT or 346-4461) or via the Ducks' website (www.goducks.com).
Reserved seats remain for Oregon's four non-conference games against Mississippi State (Aug. 31), Fresno State (Sept. 7), Idaho (Sept. 14) and Portland State (Sept. 21) only, with all tickets costing $29. Bianco said that less than 1,000 tickets are available for the 3 p.m. contest vs. Mississippi State, which will serve as the Ducks' season-opener in the newly expanded Autzen Stadium. Tentative start times for all other home games are scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
Standing room-only tickets are all that remain for games with Arizona State (Oct. 19) and Stanford (Nov. 2), with prices ranging from $13 for adults and $6.50 for children and senior citizens.
No tickets remain at this time for Oregon's games against USC (Oct. 26) and Washington (Nov. 16).
Despite the expansion of Autzen Stadium to included a seating capacity of 54,000, Oregon has been forced to curtail sales of season tickets for the fourth straight year. Last month, the Ducks announced they had reached a record of 40,207 season tickets sold.
