Volleyball Ranked Eighth in Volleyball Magazine Preseason Poll

TUCSON, Ariz.- Coming off the best finish in school history and sporting the top-ranked incoming freshman class in the nation, the Arizona volleyball team is ranked eighth in Volleyball Magazine's 2002 preseason poll. The Wildcats, who finished 25-5 and advanced to their first-ever Final Four last season, return four senior starters from 2001, nine letterwinners and welcome six newcomers for the fall season.
Arizona, which begins its season on August 30 in Louisville, Ky., will face a challenging schedule in 2002, including matches against three of the top four teams in the early poll and seven teams ranked in the top 15.
