Trevell Quinley Earns Bronze Medal At The IAAF World Junior Track and Field Championships

TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State freshman track and field athlete Trevell Quinley finished third in the long jump to earn a Bronze Medal for Team USA. Quinley, who jumped 25 feet, three-quarters inches, was one of only two U.S. athletes competing in the men's long jump at the 2002 IAAF World Junior Track and Field Championships in Kingston, Jamaica.
Quinley, a native of Tracy, Calif., was the 2002 Pac-10 runner-up in the long jump where he notched his outdoor personal-best mark of 24 feet, 10 inches.
During the 2002 indoor season, Quinley earned his first career All-America honor at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. Although placing 14th with a mark of 23-11.5, he was one of the top eight American finishers in the event.
