Joy Jordan Named CRCA All-American

Oregon State senior rower Joy Jordan was named to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association All-American Second Team, it was announced Wednesday.
Jordan, a native of Alsea, Ore., rowed the six seat in the varsity eight boat that reached as high as 13th in the CRCA national rankings this year.
Jordan is a two-time Academic All-Pac-10 selection, earning that honor as a junior and senior. She also earned All-Pac-10 recognition after the 2002 campaign.
To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must meet their respective institution's eligibility rules and participate in at least 75 percent of their varsity boat's races.
The All-America first and second teams were selected from the field of 60 rowers and coxswains who received First-Team All-Region honors.
OSU's Abby Roos earned Second-Team All-America honors after the 2000-01 season.
