OSU Announces Parking Plan Changes For Football

CORVALLIS-As a result of Oregon State opening the 2002 football season on a Thursday night, instead of a normal Saturday starting time, several changes will go into effect for parking in an around Reser Stadium for Thursday, August 29.
The lots surrounding Reser Stadium, the RV permit lot, Washington Way (Tennis Courts) and the Finley handicapped parking area will be posted as reserved for permit parking only starting at 7:00 a.m. Thursday. All other permit lots will have signage encouraging people to vacate these lots by 5:00 p.m.
The pay lot for RV will be staffed from 6-9:00 p.m. the evening of August 28 and throughout the day on the 29th, starting at 7:00 a.m. At 3:00 p.m. all lots will be staffed just like a regular Saturday game and 26th Street will be closed in front of Gill Coliseum and Reser Stadium.
The parking lot at 15th and Western will be divided until 5:00 p.m. to allow for the patrons for those businesses to be able to park while at the same time OSU football permit holders can utilize other spaces. After 5:00 p.m. the entire lot will be reserved for permits.
For the Eastern Kentucky and UNLV games, there will be additional pay parking in the parking lot in front of Finley and the new dorm (Halsell Hall) at a cost of $5.00 per car. Entry is off either Washington Way or Western Blvd.
For the entire season, 26th Street from Western Blvd. To Washington Way will be closed to traffic. All permit lots surrounding Reser Stadium need to be accessed from Western Blvd., 30th Street or Washington Way.
Oregon State will continue to offer free downtown shuttle in conjunction with the Downtown Corvallis Association and several downtown businesses.
